Why families choose Berean Academy

Educating the Mind, Nurturing the Soul

In a city with plenty of educational options, what makes Berean Academy distinct?
Since 1972, we’ve built a foundation on three core values: truth, wisdom, and virtue. This means…

Young students work in unison on their school assignment

01

Recognize truth

Our college preparatory curriculum doesn’t just challenge students academically. It teaches them to recognize truth in every subject.

02

Applying wisdom

Our teachers don’t just deliver content. They mentor students in applying wisdom to real-world situations.

03

Heart transformed

And our community doesn’t just encourage good behavior. It cultivates virtue that flows from a heart transformed by Christ.

This deliberate balance shows in our graduates.

They don’t simply perform well on standardized tests (though they do). They think critically about complex issues.

They don’t just recite Scripture (though memory verses are important). They understand how biblical principles inform every area of life.

Whether they continue to universities, careers, or ministry, Berean alumni carry with them both the academic foundation and spiritual discernment needed to navigate an increasingly complex world.

A Letter from Our Head of School

Welcome to Berean Academy

I have been blessed to serve as the Head of School at Berean Academy since 2009. During that time, we have experienced several changes, including a greater than 80% increase in student enrollment, expanded services, facilities upgrades, and the construction of a new building. As pleased as we are about our past success, we are more excited about our present and future.

More importantly, what remains unchanged is our underlying mission, vision, and values. Our role is to support families in their desire to raise their children to know truth, acquire wisdom, and live virtuous lives, according to the Bible and its principles. We offer a rigorous academic program designed to prepare students for post-secondary education and training. We provide enrichment opportunities to develop students’ skills in athletics, fine arts, and leadership. Most importantly, we intentionally target and support our students’ spiritual formation. We desire to see our students love the Lord with all their hearts, minds, and souls.

If our purpose and values resonate with you, I invite you to contact us to schedule a tour and learn more about our mission and how we might partner with you to provide your child with an authentic Christian education.
