Looking toward the Fall Semester

Now that the 2019-2020 school year has been completed, it is time to increase our focus on the fall 2020 semester. Preparations for multiple scenarios are taking place, but our plan is to begin the new school year with on-campus classes on August 13 and follow the school calendar posted on our website.

An important component of this summer’s planning will be addressing concerns associated with the coronavirus. A goal of ours is to offer our educational programs in the most effective manner while providing a safe environment for all who come to our campus. There have been many suggestions concerning how schools can minimize the transmission of the coronavirus, but no requirements have been disseminated, yet, for the 2020-2021 school year.

Berean Academy is assessing health and safety recommendations issued by reputable sources. The adoption, adaptation, or rejection of such recommendations will be determined by how well they contribute to our values, goals, and context. We want to implement the least disruptive procedures that will protect our students and staff, so we can offer the best environment and experience for them.

We have a little over two months before our first day of school. Undoubtedly, during the summer months, there will be new developments associated with the worldwide battle with the coronavirus. We at Berean Academy will continue to evaluate the fluidity of the situation and shape our plans in the best interests of our families and staff.

We are giving parents an opportunity to communicate their perspectives through a survey (https://bit.ly/3eOcJAO). This short questionnaire will only be available through Saturday, June 6.
